Lots of rumors swirling about Webster jumping to WILK. I think John is burned out and creatively drained at Rock 107 and he would be a great addition to WILK's lineup. It would give him a fresh new reason to get up in the morning too. Besides he wouldn't be subjected to the same 12 songs over and over and over again and again.

I think you're right. I listen everyday. I think he's just tired of carrying the other guy after twenty years.

Yea. How about that deer in the headlights look when he did the 28 news segment? John and Ruth carry the show for sure.

Most definitely John and Ruth. I miss when they used to have Dave Derenzo on too.

IF there is a new fm talker coming they would be wise to consider Webster. It would pull loyalists away from 107 and it would be a great alternative to Kevin and Nancy. Webster and Ruthie in the morning on a hot talker fm would be killer!

OMG yes. If there's another talk station coming Webster and Ruth in the morning would be formidable.

Ruth? She would be the last person I would want to hear.

Ruth? She would be the last person I would want to hear. Mee-oww. I love when she and Webster get rolling. She lets him get away with nothing, is funny in her own right, has an infectious laugh. Ruth with Webster on their own show would kick everybody's butt on the radio around here in the morning.

I assume Webster has a contract and I assume there's a "no compete" clause. John and Ruth aren't setting the world on fire at 107. Can't see them being a big draw elsewhere.

For starters I've heard Webster say, on the air, that his contract has expired. Far as setting the world on fire I think the fire can only be as big as the fuel they're allowed from management and I think they'd be in their element on a talk station. If there is a new talk station coming to the area I hope they get a crack at it!

No compete clauses can remain in effect even after a contract has expired. It depends on the language.

Iam not sure about PA but in many states NonCompetes have been overruled. I believe NY is such a state. In any event even to have one considered legal there must be some form of compensation paid by the employer in exchange for the signature of the employee on such a document.

I think if John could get the pieces to fall into place meaning there's an opening at WILK and they offer it to him and if he can get out from under the Times Shamrock thumb (would they want an employee who they know didn't want to be there?), he'd go for it. I think it'd be a good fit! I think it'd be a great fit if they made an offer to him and Ruth Miller for their own show!

If his contract is up and he can leave 107 and does, they're screwed.

I listen to WILK a lot, I'd definitely listn if Ruth and Webster were on there. Ruth is great!
